Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Proper Mint Bookings (the “Platform”), run by Proper Mint Concerts Ltd (“Proper Mint”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14033082, St Albans Villa, Crowhall Lane. If you have a question, contact us at jamie@propermint.live.

1. Who the Platform is for

The Platform is used by performers and acts (“Acts”) to receive gig opportunities from Proper Mint, and by venues we work with to view their upcoming bookings through a private link. By creating an account or using a venue link, you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You must give accurate details and keep them up to date, including your contact and payment details. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for anything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it. We approve Acts before they can respond to gigs, and we can decline or remove any account at our discretion.

3. Availability and bookings

Marking yourself as available for a slot is not a booking. A booking is only confirmed when we confirm it to you in the Platform or by email. Gig details, set times and fees are shown in the Platform and in your confirmation. If anything in a confirmation looks wrong, tell us before the gig.

4. Fees and payment

The fee shown to you for a slot is the fee we will pay you for performing it. After the gig, we confirm that it took place before it is invoiced. We pay Acts under the self-billing arrangement you accept when adding your payment details: we raise the invoice on your behalf and pay it to the bank account you’ve given us. You must tell us if your VAT status changes. If you change your bank details, we may verify the change before making payment. We are not responsible for payments sent to incorrect bank details you provided.

5. Cancellations

If you can no longer play a booked gig, cancel it in the Platform as early as possible so we can find cover. Cancelling on the day of the gig counts as a late cancellation. If you exceed the late cancellation limit shown in the Platform, your account may be suspended automatically and you won’t be offered gigs. If you don’t turn up for a booked gig, you won’t be paid for it and we may suspend your account. Cancellations made by us do not count against you.

6. Conduct

Turn up on time, perform the agreed set, and follow the venue’s reasonable instructions and any requirements shown for the gig. Behave professionally towards venue staff and customers. Don’t use the Platform to contact venues to arrange work that bypasses Proper Mint for gigs we’ve introduced, unless we agree in writing.

7. Your photos and content

If you upload photos, links or other material to your profile, you confirm you have the right to use them, including permission from the photographer and anyone pictured. You give Proper Mint and the venues you’re booked at a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that material to promote your gigs, including on social media, for as long as it’s on your profile and for posts already published. Venues can download your promo images from their booking link.

8. Suspension and closing your account

We can suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, after repeated late cancellations or no-shows, or if we stop working with you. You can request deletion of your account in the Platform. We’ll keep some records after closure where the law requires, as explained in our Privacy Policy, and we’ll still pay you for gigs you’ve performed.

9. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep the Platform accurate and available, but we can’t guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect losses or lost opportunities arising from use of the Platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll show the date of the latest version at the top and, for significant changes, let you know by email or in the Platform. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
